What is AH-7921?
AH-7921 or Doxylam is a brand new research chemical to be made available to a select few chemical suppliers. Originally synthesises and profiled in the 1970’s at Allan and Hanbury’s, AH-7921 would seem to act as a opiate based on its chemical structure. With selectivity for the µ-opioid receptor it is proposed that AH-7921 would have approximately 80% the potency of Morphine in terms of in vitro (outside living organism) receptor affinity.
What is AH-7921 used for?
Considering that there is currently very limited publication on this chemical most research would be based around simply affinity binding assays to get an idea of its action upon the µ-opioid receptors. Those with a licence to use Morphine may choose to perform competitive ligand binding assays to determine affinity. All research conducted with AH-7921 must be performed using synthetic medium only as it is only licenced at this time for in vitro studies.
AH-7921 may be purchased to pose as an addition to chemical databases for the NMR, HPLC, FTIR and GC/MS analysis libraries. As with all our research chemicals AH-7921 may be a primary reagent for specific studies.
